Lindsey Graham melts down while trying to defend Trump and Orban

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) raised his voice and began yelling at Biden when asked if Trump was dating Viktor Orban.

Senator Graham was asked if Trump controls the Senate and he accidentally responded, “I vote against a lot of things he doesn’t like.

Voting against things Trump doesn’t like would be doing exactly what Donald Trump wants, so Graham admitted that Trump rules the Republicans in the Senate.

How did Lindsey Graham respond when asked about Trump and Viktor Orban?

Graham was asked about Trump and Orban and said: “I think the best way to judge President Trump’s second term is what he did in his first term. You know, Russia didn’t invade under President Trump’s watch. Hamas did not seek to destroy Israel under its control. Afghanistan, they, the Taliban were not in charge under his control. So here’s what I would say if I were talking about the world on fire. You are right. If you think that Joe Biden’s policies are a lack of deterrence and that he is weak in the eyes of our enemies. You are right. So if you want to put the world to rights, you’d better vote for Trump.”

Kristen Welker continued: “But you know former President Trump has talked about being a dictator since day one. He said it’s good to have a strong man ruling our country. He talked about punishment in a second term, senator.

Graham said, “You know what? He said the punishment would be a success. Do you know who took Trump off the ballot in Colorado, who took Trump off the ballot in Maine? There is a liberal jihad against all things Trump. I’m not worried about Trump destroying democracy. I’m afraid Joe Biden will destroy the world.

Welker tried again: “Senator, though, let me be very clear. He is aligning himself with Viktor Orban”.

Graham finally said: “Orban is not on the ballot. You have to vote between Trump and Biden.

It didn’t go well.

The point is that Republicans like Lindsey Graham can’t defend Trump’s love of dictators, so they have to start screaming irrational things about President Joe Biden. Democracy is a losing proposition for Republicans as long as they are led by Donald Trump.

Senator Graham didn’t have an answer to Welker’s questions about Trump and Orban, so he turned to conspiracy theories about liberal jihad.

Donald Trump is a threat to democracy in the United States, and no amount of hysteria manufactured by Lindsey Graham about President Biden can hide this fact.
