Nursing student Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal immigrant last month, something that never would have happened if the United States had succeeded in keeping people who did not have citizenship or were unauthorized out of the country.
In his State of the Union address on Thursday, Joe Biden acknowledged that killing, but mispronounced his name as “Lincoln Riley.”
Donald Trump, however, took the time to meet Riley’s family.

Laken Riley: “It was the brightest light in any room”
The meeting took place before his rally in Georgia over the weekend.
Fox News reported, “Former President Donald Trump met with Laken Riley’s family backstage before speaking at a rally in Georgia on Saturday.”
“I met his beautiful mother and her family backstage,” Trump told an audience in Rome, Georgia, over the weekend. “They said she was the best. For us she has always been the best. They admit that she was the best and was at the top of the class. She would have been the best nurse. She was the best nursing student. She has always been the best. She was the brightest light in any room, I was told.
Trump added: “He was the whole world to his parents and to his sister and just to the whole family.”
The story continued:
Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia, was allegedly killed by a Venezuelan migrant in the country while she was jogging on Feb. 22.
Trump placed the blame for Riley’s death on President Biden.
“Biden has implemented a formal policy that illegal aliens who enter the United States are granted immunity from deportation,” Trump said. “Therefore, when this monster showed up at our border, he was immediately released under the program. Crooked Joe created it.”

‘Pathetic’
He added that they were “deeply honored” to have Laken Riley’s family and friends at the rally.
Laken Riley’s mother called President Biden “pathetic” for mispronouncing her daughter’s name.
