Georgia Rep. Mike Collins pointed out that former President Donald Trump may have been right when he called Haiti a “shithole” as the nation descends into chaos.
The country has been plagued by gang violence and political instability. The situation has led to widespread chaos and insecurity.
One of the most alarming developments has been the emergence of violent gangs that have terrorized the population and forced the Prime Minister to remain in exile. Ariel Henry has since resigned.
The situation in Haiti has become so dire that the United Nations has authorized the deployment of a multinational security force to help restore order. Meanwhile US troops evacuated Americans from the US Embassy while additional forces were brought in to protect the diplomatic compound in Port-au-Prince.
“Some might call it bullshit,” Collins noted on X.

Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, called Haiti an “asshole” in comments made during a meeting in 2018.
According to a Democratic aide quoted by NBC News at the time, Trump asked a group of bipartisan senators why America would want immigrants from “all these shithole countries.”
The left-wing media had a collective aneurysm over the comments. The United Nations, which turned a blind eye to Haiti’s descent into chaos, mocked Trump and called his remarks “shocking and shameful” and, of course, “racist.”
Even elite celebrities denounced Trump and started a “Haiti is already great” campaign. Late night talk show host Conan O’Brien was at the forefront of the obvious virtue signaling.
Will they recycle those T-shirts and hats now that Haiti has truly descended into fiery chaos? Will they visit the country to show how beautiful it is?

Collins hits out at Hillary Clinton
Mike Collins (R-GA) also took aim at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the situation in Haiti. But he has a new solution to the problem.
“Imagine it,” he wrote. “It’s 2025, Donald Trump buries the hatchet with Hillary Clinton by naming her ambassador to Haiti.”
Collins added the hashtag ‘#LetHerCook.’
The role of the Clinton Foundation
The Clinton Foundation has long been in the crosshairs of Republicans who want the group to be investigated over the amount of money it took in during the 2010 Haitian earthquake.
That natural disaster devastated the country. But the Clinton Foundation was tasked with restoring and rebuilding.
Emails discovered during an RNC FOIA request showed Hillary Clinton’s State Department aides paid particular attention to companies labeled “Friends of Bill (Clinton)” after the massive earthquake.
Even ABC News admitted at the time that “the correspondence offers a glimpse into the early stages of a $10 billion Haiti recovery effort” and “appears to show a State Department process that has at times prioritized — and, some say, it has brought benefits – to people with next of kin. ties to the Clintons.”
The Guardian reported in 2020 that ten years after the devastating earthquake, the Clinton Foundation’s efforts had obviously ended in complete failure.
These failures in Haiti include an industrial park that “failed to deliver the economic transformation promised by the Clintons” and a port that was “quietly abandoned” despite “tens of millions of dollars” being invested.
Author Antony Loewenstein wrote that the result of these failures has left many Haitians living “in a state of daily hopelessness and hopelessness.”
And now there are the Haitian “cannibal gangs”.
Was Trump right that the Clintons had turned Haiti into a “bullshit”?
Videos and images on social media seem to confirm this. Port-au-Prince has transformed into a war-torn city on the verge of collapse.
The situation has led to mass displacement of civilians and deterioration of the humanitarian and security situation. Furthermore, the government has struggled to maintain order and there are fears that the country is on the verge of collapse.
