Former President Donald Trump currently has a nine-point lead over Joe Biden in Ohio in a general election matchup, assuming each man is the presidential nominee for their respective parties, according to a new poll.
The survey was conducted by Emerson College/Nexstar Media.

Big lead for Trump in Ohio poll
Breitbart reports: “Of the 1,300 registered voters sampled statewide, 50% will vote for Trump, while 41% will support Biden. Another 9% are undecided, but largely lean towards the 45th president.”
“When the undecided demographic was pressed on its direction, 57% chose Trump, while 44% chose Biden. Once included in the full sample, Trump’s lead expands slightly: he and Biden clock in at 55% and 45%, respectively,” the article notes.

Trump maintains a commanding lead over Biden in a broader field that includes independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, as well as Green Party candidate Jill Stein. In this five-way race, Trump gets 47% of the responses, followed by Biden with 38%. Kennedy comes in third with 6%, while West and Stein each take 1%. 7% are undecided.
Emerson College assessed respondents’ commitment to the candidates selected in the five-way race, asking whether there was room to change their minds. Just over 80% said they would “definitely” vote for the selected candidate, while 19% said they might change their choice.
Emerson College conducted the poll from March 7 – the day of Biden’s State of the Union address – to March 10, and it has a credibility interval of ±2.6 percentage points.
This poll comes when it is almost certain that we will be facing a Trump versus Biden general election.
Trump has already flagged this in his case in a social media post.

Trump “We will win”
“Our party is UNITED and STRONG and fully understands that we are running against the worst, most incompetent, corrupt and destructive president in the history of the United States,” Trump wrote.
“Polls strongly indicate that we will win the 2024 presidential election,” he added.
In multiple states, according to several polls, including Ohio, Trump is not wrong.
