President Biden set a new fundraising record for Democrats with $53 million in donations in February, while Trump struggles to raise money.
How much money has President Biden raised?
The Biden campaign announced:
The Biden-Harris team announced it had raised more than $53 million in February, continuing to break fundraising records through early 2024, boasting historic enthusiasm, strength and resources ahead of the general election. The team also reports historic cash on hand of $155 million, the highest total accumulated by any Democratic candidate in history at this point in the cycle. The Biden-Harris team’s liquidity has increased in each of the four reporting periods since the president launched his reelection bid.
Team Biden-Harris’ February haul was driven largely by the strength of our grassroots support, which continued to grow month after month. February was the campaign’s highest grassroots fundraising month since its launch and the fourth consecutive month of record-breaking grassroots fundraising.

Biden/Harris is raising an eye-popping amount of money, and while money doesn’t directly equate to votes, the healthy position the Democrats find themselves in is night and day compared to Trump’s Republican Party.
Trump’s campaign is in trouble. The former president was still being overwhelmed by Nikki Haley, even though she had no chance of being nominated until last month. Trump’s small donors appear to be depleted due to his constant and never-ending fundraising appeals. Trump has been hemorrhaging money due to legal fees, and has been eager to get his hands on the RNC so he can raid its coffers to revive his presidential campaign and pay his legal bills.
In a close election, the ability to spend money to get out the vote is important. While Donald Trump spends money on lawyers, Bide is putting Democrats in a position to win in November.
