Steve Bannon defended his friend Peter Navarro on The War Room today as the former Trump official turned himself in to authorities after refusing to testify before Liz Cheney’s sham January 6 Unselect Committee, a committee we now know lied repeatedly with their findings and have deleted critical testimonies and videos that would exonerate their political opposition.
Steve Bannon praised his friend and called on Republicans in Congress to reject the false January 6 Commission report that is full of lies and is being used to persecute Republicans and good Americans.
Steve Bannon: Number one is his legal case and the process of advancing it on appeal. And he said he will take the matter all the way to the Supreme Court because there are many elements that need to be addressed by the Supreme Court.
The question is: why is he, for a minor crime, not on appeal, but in prison today?
I think it’s a four month sentence. I believe it can be shortened to 90 or 60 days. We’ll find out. The other one. This is within our ability to change, and this is, to me, what should take precedence right now, is the J-6 Committee. This is 100% within the purview of Speaker Johnson. He has the ability to do it. And I realize that Loudermilk and what I call some of these backbenchers, and Loudermark is a good guy, but he’s not someone who’s going to make a lot of headlines.
He’s holding subcommittee hearings right now. And we know that, time after time, we are uncovering suppressed information. We are discovering hidden testimonies. We are discovering testimonies in which video-recorded depositions are missing. There are questions about the footage, why hasn’t all the footage been released?
This is 100% within our purview of what Dr. Peter Navarro was saying. The J-6 committee, you could meet with it and throw away and get rid of the fake J-6 committee report. Could you do it. Remember, in Colorado, they used the report as a basis to try to remove President Trump from the ballot.
And so Dr. Navarro is there, I think, making a very compelling case, number one, on his case, but also on the larger issues. This is why Navarro stood his ground by believing in the Constitution, believing in the oath that we took as White House officials on day one, the oath that we took to actually assume our positions. Remember, he was an assistant to the president. Nothing ranks higher than that inside the White House, except the commander in chief and the vice president.
