Aurora Cannabis (NASDAQ:ACB) said it has obtained Good Manufacturing Practice certification from Australian regulators for its Canadian River and Ridge manufacturing facilities.
The Canadian medical marijuana company said the certification allows it to deliver cannabis products to Australia and expand its product offering in the country.
Aurora said the Australian medical cannabis market is worth around A$400 million, making it the world’s largest medical marijuana market after North America.
Other cannabis companies with significant presences in Australia include Tilray (TLRY) and Cronos (CRON). Curaleaf (OTCPK:CURLF) also plans to enter the market through its recently announced deal to acquire Northern Green Canada.
