Donald Trump has only visited one battleground state since Super Tuesday because he can’t afford to campaign.
CNN reported:
Joe Biden has been in every major state except one since the Super Tuesday primaries. He also participated in unannounced calls pushing negotiators toward a ceasefire in Gaza, among other official White House duties.
Donald Trump held a rally in a battleground state in those two and a half weeks, and moved another to Ohio, partly to save costs. He also played in two golf tournaments at his Palm Beach golf club, among other his club activities, such as lunches with potential campaign donors that aides say are about to start paying big dividends.

Aside from his continued court appearances, which he has chosen to make, Trump has remained almost entirely behind closed doors in Palm Beach, trying to revive his sluggish fundraising campaign and strategize how to pay off the $454 million bond of dollars he was ordered to pay after the trial. The judge in his civil fraud trial in New York found that he and his company had lied about their assets for years.
Trump was outpaced by President Biden by a margin of nearly 4 to 1, but it’s not just about money. Biden has been much more active than Trump. The president has crisscrossed the country, announcing everything from infrastructure investments to new manufacturing projects to student loan debt relief. It seems Biden has been everywhere in recent weeks, including achieving the State of the Union and working towards a ceasefire for Gaza.
Biden also held campaign events in states such as Georgia, Texas, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
By contrast, Donald Trump barely campaigns one day a week. He usually holds events on Saturdays and the venues for those events have become smaller and cheaper. Gone are the days when Trump spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a large rally. Trump’s recent speech in Ohio wasn’t even a Trump campaign event.
Trump can’t afford to campaign. The Trump campaign tried to end the Republican primary early because they didn’t have the funds for a long, contested primary.
Joe Biden makes headlines every day, while Donald Trump is holed up at his club golfing and trying to figure out how he’s going to pay off a $454 million bond.
Only one candidate is on the campaign trail right now, and it’s not broke Trump.
