Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) went out of his way to try to impress Trump on ABC’s This Week.
Transcript via ABC’s This Week:
RUBIO: Look at the world, every single day we wake up to a new crisis, to a new conflict. Everything has been on fire since Joe Biden took over. Afghanistan has fallen. Ukraine has been invaded.
Now, the Philippines and the Chinese are on the verge of something bad happening every day. Not to mention the threats to Taiwan. And we have this outbreak in Haiti going on in our own hemisphere. Let’s take every single day, terrorist attacks, 9 million people across the border. This is what matters to me.

KARL: But… but… but you… but… I mean… I mean, aren’t you suggesting that all of this happens because of Biden and everything?
RUBIO: Absolutely yes.
KARL: But… well, let me…
RUBIO: Absolutely, I suggest that this happens because of Biden. It’s the president and his weakness and his…
KARL: Just because of Biden… that Russia invaded Ukraine?
RUBIO: Absolutely.

What a humiliating performance from the United States Senator. Senator Rubio (R-FL) knows better than to blame Biden for everything that happened. Rubio knows that any president does not control world events.
While Rubio says he hasn’t spoken to Trump or his team about joining the ticket, the Florida senator was auditioning for the job on ABC. Marco Rubio hates the Senate. For years he has hated being a senator, which is why he continues to run or propose a presidential candidacy.
Getting Trump’s ticket would finally be his path to the White House, so Rubio would try to outdo Tim Scott in the race for the Republican senator most willing to humble himself to be Trump’s vice president.
Trump has no magical appeal to these senators. The allure is the possibility of getting to the White House and being the first person in line to replace Trump in 2028.
Marco Rubio would like to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office and seems willing to do anything to get there.
