After suffering a heart attack, Ken Jones spent 20 hours sitting in “a hard plastic chair” in England’s Gloucestershire Royal Hospital before being examined by a doctor. After finally having an angiogram, it was discovered that he had three blocked arteries. “We recognize that patients continue to experience longer waits than any of us would like and our staff continue to provide the best care possible,” said Dr Kate Hellier, Gloucestershire’s deputy chief medical officer. “We encourage the patient to raise any concerns with our Patient Advisory and Liaison Service (PAL).”
