Marco Cubanothe billionaire entrepreneur and minority owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks recently shared his views on the presidency of the United States, likening the role to that of a CEO and emphasizing the importance of stability and loyalty within of an administration.
In an interview with Lex Fridman on Friday, Cuban highlighted the stark contrast in turnover rates between the former president’s administrations Donald Trump and President Joe Bidenusing it as a metric to evaluate their leadership effectiveness.
During his tenure, Biden has seen minimal turnover in the Cabinet, with only two officials leaving.
Cuban said this stability indicates strong leadership, which contrasts sharply with the high turnover rate experienced under Trump.
Cuban said one reason he would choose Biden over Trump is that Biden was able to keep most of his staff.
When asked why he believes “Biden would be a better president than Trump,” Cuban responded: “If you look at the people he’s hired, there’s been no turnover in his Cabinet — at all.”

“If you look at the people that he has hired throughout his career, or particularly while he was vice president, there is no one who has turned against him and come out and written books and published statements about how he is harmful for the country,” he added.
“Now let’s compare him to Trump. The people closest to him – almost all of them have reached out unless there’s a financial relationship involved,” Cuban said. “To me that says it all.”
The Trump administration experienced a record turnover rate of 34% in its first year, eventually reaching 92% by the end of its term.
