Elon Musk takes another dig at John Oliver, says comedian ‘hasn’t been funny for years’

Tesla AND SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has once again targeted the comedian and TV host John Oliversuggesting that his humor has been in decline for years.

What happened: On Monday, Musk responded to a user on X, formerly Twitter, who shared a screenshot and mockingly captioned it, saying, “To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to enjoy John Oliver.”

The screenshot shared by the handle suggests that only people “in the top 30% of the population in terms of intelligence” appreciate Oliver’s content. Musk, however, disagrees, saying the comedian “hasn’t been funny in years.”

Because matter: This isn’t the first time Musk has publicly criticized Oliver. Last year in December, on an episode of “Last Week Tonight,” Oliver took aim at Musk, calling him the perfect movie villain, suggesting that he can “pull out any villain in a movie.”

At the time, tech billionaire Musk responded by saying that Oliver stopped being funny when he “sold his soul to wake up.”

“Oliver was great several years ago, but he stopped being funny when he sold his soul to normality, where humor is basically illegal,” Musk said then.
