What happened: While US enthusiasts may endure long waits for such technological treasures, India is setting a new standard for instant gratification in gaming.
CEO of Blinkit Albinder Dhindsaenthusiastically took to social media on Friday to announce that the relatively new PlayStation 5 Slim, which costs ₹54,990 (around $730), and the Digital Edition, priced at ₹44,990 (around $595), are now available on the their platform.

This is not the first time Blinkit has entered into such a partnership. Previously, they had partnered with Samsung to speed up the delivery of the Galaxy S24 series in several major cities. In 2023, they have partnered with the largest premium Apple reseller in the country to deliver iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus directly to customers in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.
Financially, despite reporting a significant increase in revenue to ₹724.2 crore (approximately $96 million) in FY23 from ₹236.1 crore (approximately $31 million) in FY22, the Blinkit’s losses grew to ₹1,078.9 crore (around $143 million) from ₹996.7 crore (around $132 million) the previous year.
