Chris Wray’s FBI also refused to inform the Trump administration and his cabinet secretaries that they believed there could be violence like the mass protests at the Capitol that took place that day.
Nancy Pelosi also rejected the National Guard at the US Capitol due to politics.
Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund said he had asked House and Senate security officials for permission to request that the D.C. National Guard be placed on standby in case he needed rapid reinforcements. But they both rejected it.
John Solomon of Just The News published an explosive report in 2022 that revealed Capitol Police were first warned of possible violence during the January 6 protests TWO WEEKS earlier the planned events.
Pelosi, Mayor Bowser, and other government officials rejected the National Guard, however. They hoped for an “insurrection”.
Solomon says DHS and the District of Columbia were made aware of the online threats of violence two weeks before the protests and rally.

Instead of getting to the bottom of the communication breakdown and focusing on improving military preparedness for future incidents, witnesses believe the January 6 panel was focused solely on placing blame for that day’s events on Trump…
Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund and D.C. National Guard leader Major General Walker said that Army Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt (ret.), who was director of the Army staff at the time of the riot, he delayed or ignored Sund’s request for National Guard support.
They accused Piatt of saying, “I don’t like the image of the National Guard standing in front of a police line with the Capitol in the background.”
…DC National Guard informants will be able to confirm this at Wednesday’s hearing even though Piatt testified under oath that he never mentioned the optics.
