BREAKING: Senator Mike Lee halts business in the US Senate until Democrats hold impeachment trial of DHS Secretary Mayorkas – for deliberately implementing the open borders disaster | The Gateway Expert

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) on Monday vowed to suspend the business of the U.S. Senate until Democrats hold an impeachment trial for DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

For weeks now, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has refused to hold the Senate trial for DHS Secretary Mayorkas.

Constitutional expert Hans Von Spakovsky recently informed Grant Stinchfield and the Real America Voice audience that holding an impeachment trial is not an option for Democrats – it’s their duty under the United States Constitution!

Hans Von Spakovsky: The Senate has put in place a special rule, a parliamentary rule, to handle impeachments. The rule was implemented in the 1980s. That rule requires a process. There is no language that allows you to simply reject a motion and vote on a motion to reject. Also, look, the Constitution says the House votes on whether to impeach a federal official, and the Senate is then responsible for holding a trial and determining whether they are guilty or should be acquitted. There’s nothing in there that means don’t hold a trial and just throw it away.

Tonight Senator Lee holds the Democrats accountable and will shut down business until the Democrats hold the impeachment trial of the DHS Secretary!
