When it comes to inflation and prices, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen sings a very different tune than her boss Joe Biden.
During a recent appearance on ABC News, when asked whether prices would return to pre-pandemic levels, Yellen said that “most Americans know” that prices will not go back down.
This is absolutely not what Joe Biden says. Biden recently boasted about how much the prices of various goods have fallen, then criticized “greedy companies” for prices that haven’t fallen. Clock:

Yellen’s message is very different. From RedState:
Biden is trying to sell us this fiction about how much he’s doing to change what he broke, and no one believes him because he doesn’t even understand the problem. Or he does and just wants to turn us around.
But now, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has simply thrown him under the bus with what she had to say about inflation. She was being interviewed by the ABC when she was asked how she would convince people that prices might not return to what they were before the pandemic. This is a surprising statement, especially in light of what Biden continues to say now.
“Well, I think most Americans know that prices are unlikely to go down,” Yellen said. “The Fed’s goal is not to try to get the price level back to where they were.”
