Fox News’ Trump interview was pre-recorded and heavily edited, and even they couldn’t hide Trump’s cognitive decline.
At one point, Trump began using profanity and speculating that he would run against Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama.
Trump said of Newsom: “I tell you what, he’s so much.” [bleep] He wants to say it’s wonderful, it’s going terribly.
Trump wasn’t making sense, so Maria Bartiromo had to interrupt to tell viewers that the former president was talking about California.
Trump continued: “Your state is behaving horribly. You look at the homeless problem, you look at people leaving. There are companies that are leaving, they are all leaving for other locations. He thinks Gavin is easy because California is a mess. He was a horrible governor.”
The former president then thought about running against Michelle Obama: “I’ve seen polls in which she doesn’t do well. I’ve seen polls in which I beat her easily, I beat her by a lot.
Trump also believes that inflation will rise due to tensions in the Red Sea.

Fox News tried all its pre-recording and editing tricks. Maria Bartiromo held Trump’s hand and spoon-fed him throughout the interview, and even with all this help, Trump still failed to present himself as someone who wasn’t in cognitive decline and suited to presidency.
Trump’s talk of having a different Democratic nominee and soaring inflation sounded like wishful thinking combined with delusion.
Joe Biden has already beaten Donald Trump once, and the former president seems to be afraid of the man who beat him and shattered the myth that Trump is a winner.
If Trump can’t handle an edited, recorded interview, that explains why he refuses to debate Nikki Haley, and he may also refuse to debate Joe Biden.
Republicans love to question Biden’s age, but Trump’s problems are out in the open and should disqualify him from office.
