President Joe Biden on Thursday attempted to clean up a mess that began with the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s damning report regarding his handling of classified documents and his memoir. It didn’t go well.

Hur found that Biden “intentionally stored and disclosed classified materials” — including classified documents related to national security and “sensitive intelligence sources and methods” — in his home, garage and office for decades.

But in a classic example of the two-tiered justice system under his administration, Biden will not be charged because he is an “old, well-meaning man with a poor memory” and it would be difficult to convince a jury to convict anyone. so weak.

We are not the ones saying this. That’s literally the conclusion Hur and his investigation came to.

According to the report, Biden “did not remember when he was vice president” or “when his son Beau died” and showed “diminished abilities” and “significant limitations” during his interview with the special prosecutor.

The evidence of the President’s evident decline in mental faculties, in any case, is incredibly alarming.

Biden’s mental acuity report is an abject disaster

Former President Donald Trump made a good point in a social media post commenting on the special counsel’s explanation that Biden escaped charges because he played the “old, well-intentioned man with a poor memory” card.

Trump explained that the classified documents were “voluntarily” obtained by Biden as both vice president and senator, well before his mental problems were cemented.

“Biden took the Papers on his ‘mental prime time,’” he wrote. “He shouldn’t have been allowed to get away with it, and he wasn’t protected by the Presidential Records Act.”

That’s right, he shouldn’t get away with it. But of course she did. What was not lost on him was that Hur’s report indicated that the president of the United States, the man with the nuclear codes, was deemed too stupid to stand trial.

Sensing how damaging this information is to his reelection campaign, Biden has gone out in public to defend his cognitive problems, even inviting journalists outside the list usually provided by his handlers.

Enter Fox News reporter Peter Doocy who managed to turn the weak Biden into an animated and angry “get off my lawn” Biden with his questions about memory.

“Something the special prosecutor said in his report is that one of the reasons you were not charged is because, in his description, you are an ‘older, well-intentioned man with a poor memory,’” Doocy said.

“I’m well-intentioned, I’m an old man, and I know what the hell I’m doing,” Biden retorted. “I was president and I got this country back on its feet. I don’t need his recommendation-“

Getting the country back on its feet? He can’t even stand up.

Today we live in an age where the President of the United States is so mentally impaired that he has to hold a press conference to assure the American people that he “knows what the hell he’s doing.”

President Biden even discussed his memory with normally compliant media reporters.

One exchange with CNN correspondent MJ Lee became particularly combative when she said, “Many Americans have watched the show and expressed concern about your age.”

“This is your judgment!” Biden shouted while wagging a finger defiantly. “This is your judgment! This is not the judgment of the press.”

First of all, this is the judgment of the American people, not the press. It is significant that Biden simply wants the adoration of the media and nothing else.

Second, an NBC News poll shows that three-quarters of voters, including half of Democrats, say they are concerned about Biden’s mental and physical health.

Biden defends memory, forgets things immediately

By any measure, President Biden’s “my memory is good” press conference was a total disaster. Not just from the angry and defensive tone that indicated that situation AND something there to get angry and defensive about, but because it contained several key indications that yes, his memory is a big problem.

Biden began by referring to Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi as the “president of Mexico.” A Mexican president who was apparently persuaded to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“As you know, initially President of Mexico Sisi [sic] he didn’t want to open the gate to let in humanitarian material [to Gaza]. I talked to him. I convinced him to open the gate,” Biden said.

Then, speaking about the death of his son Beau – of whom Hur stated in his report that Biden did not remember what year he died – the president appeared to forget the name of the church where there is a rosary that he wears “every day” from where honor comes.

“Let me tell you something. Some of you have commented. I have been wearing, since the day of his death, every single day, the rosary that he received from the Madonna of…” he said, leaving everyone in suspense.

Concluding his disastrous public performance, President Biden, in a separate address to Democrats, declared himself to be a man who represents red and “green” states and discussed the famous and historic abortion case, “Roe v. Word”.

“I said I will be a president for everyone, whether you live in a red state or a green state,” Biden said.

And, of course, “Roe v. Word,” a little-known hip hop take on the case.

This comes during a week in which President Biden’s mental difficulties have been in the spotlight after he twice said he had spoken to former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who died in 2017, about the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill in 2021, and insisted he spoke with former French President François Mitterrand, who died in 1996.
