MSNBC legal analyst Caroline Polisi said it’s “game over” for Fani Willis in former President Donald Trump’s voter fraud trial following bombshell testimony that contradicts an affidavit made by special prosecutor Nathan Wade about when their romantic relationship began.

Robin Yeartie, a college friend of Willis, testified that the Fulton County district attorney’s personal relationship with Wade began in 2019, years before either said it began and well before he was hired in the election interference case in Georgia.

Willis and Wade, in their court filings, acknowledged a “personal relationship” but said it had not resulted in any direct or indirect financial benefit to the district attorney. Wade’s affidavit attached to the document insisted that their relationship began in 2022 after he was hired.

Yeartie told the court, however, that there was “no doubt” that Willis and Wade were in a romantic relationship before the hiring, adding that she was “certain of it.”

Revelations that Willis had hired someone she was romantically involved with to prosecute Trump emerged in a court filing last month by defendant Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official.

MSNBC: ‘Game over’ for Fani Willis

MSNBC legal analyst Polisi tried to explain to his viewers how serious this revelation was for Willis, using descriptors like “epic” and “monumental.”

“Don’t be fooled by legalese,” he said in his analysis. “This is epic. This is monumental. If things are going the direction we think, Fani Willis lied to the court, it’s game over for her.”

“She will be disqualified,” Polisi predicted. “If they had an affair before representing the truth in court, it would be a big problem. I can’t overstate it.

In a statement to far-left media outlet Mediaite, Polisi said the case is effectively closed, at least regarding the roles of Willis and Wade.

“Willis will be disqualified, which means her entire office will be disqualified, which means the case will have to be reassigned and languish at the Georgia PAC, effectively killing the case,” Polisi said. “Her credibility is completely destroyed.”

Trump celebrates MSNBC report

Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth to celebrate what he heard during the MSNBC segment.

“MSNBC just declared it game over for the fake Fani Willis case in Georgia,” he wrote. “Another scam coordinated with the Biden White House for election interference purposes!”

Wade took the stand Thursday to defend claims that his relationship with Willis had not resulted in any direct or indirect financial benefit to the district attorney.

County records show Wade has received nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. Shockingly, Wade insists he was paid by the DA’s office in cash and only had a receipt to show.

A receipt. It seems… unlikely.

Wade also testified that he “did not remember” traveling with Willis in 2021 when he was hired.

He would later complete his testimony and march directly out of the courtroom.

The case against former President Trump and 14 other co-defendants is in play right now, as the decision to disqualify Willis and his office could result in a significant delay in the trial and potentially reduce the chance of a trial taking place before the court hearing. November elections.

Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said earlier in the week that Willis could be disqualified from the case depending on his findings after hearing evidence presented by both sides.
