Former “Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider, long known as one of Hollywood’s few openly conservative stars, is speaking out against “left-wing” musicians after liberal singer Beyoncé released two new country songs.
Schneider rips Beyoncé
During the interview by conservative newspaper One American News, Schneider, 63, was asked about “left-leaning” musicians in the wake of Beyoncé, 42, who first entered the country music genre.
“Lefties in the entertainment industry won’t leave any industry alone, right?” the host asked, according to the Daily Mail. “They just have to take control of every aspect, right?”
“They have to make their mark, just like a dog in a dog park. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? That’s what’s going on here,” Schneider responded, seemingly comparing Beyoncé to a urinating dog.
Schneider went on to say that it’s usually the other way around, citing country music artists like Shania Twain who try to break into more mainstream music genres.
“I know a thing or two about country music,” said Schneider, who released his own country music songs in the 1980s.

The response of Beyoncé fans
The New York Post reported that Beyoncé’s fans have since responded to Schneider by accusing him of racism.
“Beyoncé can do whatever the fuck she wants, she doesn’t need your permission, John Schneider,” one social media user commented, while another added: “We can all agree that John Schneider is a hateful idiot and ignorant”.
“John Schneider just attacked Beyoncé for ‘pissing on his tree.’ I’m here for the education he’s about to attend,” a third user commented. A fourth person said, “John Schneider was born in New York and moved to Atlanta at the age of 14. Just because he wore Levi’s and pretended to be Southern 4 years later for ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ DOES NOT make him an expert.” On what is and what isn’t country. He IS a racist idiot, that’s what he is. .
Beyoncé released her two new country music songs “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” following last week’s Super Bowl.
The secret services investigate Schneider
Schneider is no stranger to both controversy and backlash. In December, the Secret Service launched an investigation into him after he apparently called for President Joe Biden to be “publicly hanged” for “treason.”
“Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hanged. So does your son. Your response is…? Sincerely, John Schneider,” he wrote in a social media post that has since been cancelled, according to People Magazine.

Since then, however, Schneider has denied calling for Biden’s death.
“This is my last comment on this. I neither said nor implied anything of the sort,” Schneider told Deadline. “Despite headlines to the contrary, in my post I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a president of the United States as many other celebrities have done in the past. I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.
“My position, which I am entitled to have, is that some of our nations [sic.] leaders in Washington have lost their way and corruption is rampant, both at our nation’s borders and abroad,” he added. “For our constitutional republic to survive, there must be transparency and accountability. There is no threat implied or otherwise in that statement.”
Whether or not you agree with Schneider’s assessment of Beyoncé, it’s clear that she’s one of the few celebrities who isn’t afraid to think for herself these days. What do you think of her latest comments? Let us know in the comments section.
