Elon Musk was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for being a staunch defender of free speech.

Musk went out on a limb, saying this was one of the main reasons he bought Twitter/X and that discourse on the platform has certainly flowed more freely since he took over.

Musk has certainly done more for humanity than Obama ever did when he received the Nobel Prize.

The New York Post reports:

Elon Musk nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize because he is a “strong supporter of free speech”

Billionaire Elon Musk – whose businesses range from satellites to social media – has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by a Norwegian lawmaker who praised the owner of

Marius Nilsen, a Norwegian lawmaker and member of the libertarian Progress Party, said he had proposed Musk’s name because of his “adamant defense of dialogue, free speech and [enabling] the possibility of expressing one’s opinions” in an “increasingly polarized world”.

Nilsen also praised Musk for providing Starlink satellite internet connectivity to Ukrainian soldiers who were in dire straits following Russia’s invasion of their country two years ago.

“The multitude of technology companies that Musk has founded, owns or manages, with the goal of improving societies, increasing knowledge of both earth and space, as well as enabling global communication and connectivity… has contributed to make the world a more connected and safer place,” Nilsen said.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee, which decides the prize winner each year from a list of several hundred nominations, accepts nominations from government officials and academics.

Moss is a good choice for this.

Musk doesn’t get enough credit for the positive work he’s done.
