Biden’s impeachment appears dead, but that hasn’t stopped Rep. Jim Jordan from trying to save efforts to impeach President Biden.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jordan (R-OH) repeated several now-debunked points that he called facts and then attacked the FBI and Special Prosecutor Weiss:
So, what impact will this have on the investigation? I think you should ask the FBI why they were so reluctant. They told us that if we didn’t do that, when we wanted to see 10 23, they said that it could jeopardize national security and the safety of this classified human source. You can’t know his name. They didn’t want to show it to us.
Then they finally did it. I mean, this is the guy they’ve been paying, I think, since 2010. So, for 14 years, they’ve been paying this guy. Um, and it’s a reliable source. And now we find out. Also, I think there’s some sort of You know, when Christopher Steele lied to the FBI about President Trump, he gets paid more when Smirnov lies to the FBI about President Biden.

Oh, he gets indicted. I mean, go figure. it doesn’t change the basic facts. It doesn’t change the facts.
…
Obviously, you know, David Weiss, the special prosecutor said he might try to influence this year. I’ll tell you. Scott Brady. When Scott Brady, U.S. Attorney in Pittsburgh, we spoke to him, he had actually checked the confidential human source. Where he traveled when he traveled and said he felt he had the initial credibility.

Jim Jordan also said that Republicans are trying to impeach President Biden for things they claim he did before he ran for president. Impeachment by definition concerns high crimes and misdemeanors committed during the term of office.
Rep. Jordan said the facts of the investigation have not changed, and he is right.
There has never been any evidence that President Biden did anything wrong, and there is still no evidence that President Biden has done anything wrong.
Jim Jordan is trying to resurrect the dead Biden impeachment, but it’s over. Republicans must accept the loss and go home.
