©Reuters. Google (GOOGL) temporarily discontinues Gemini’s ability to generate AI images of people
Google owner Alphabet (NASDAQ:) said Thursday it will temporarily stop creating images of people through its artificial intelligence model, Gemini, with plans to introduce an improved version soon.
“We are already working to resolve recent issues with Gemini’s image generation functionality,” the company said in an X post.
“We will pause generating people images and re-publish an improved version soon,” he added.
The tech giant launched its image generation feature via Gemini AI earlier this month. However, recent feedback from social media users highlighted issues with the model which sometimes produced incorrect historical images.
On Wednesday, the tech giant released Gemma, a group of free “open templates” that allow external developers and companies to create AI software.
