This past weekend at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia and amid a mixed reception, former President Donald Trump launched a limited-edition sneaker line, which caught the watch retailer’s attention Roman Scharf.
Sharf, famous for his collection of luxury watches, won a $9,000 bid for a pair of “Never Surrender” sneakers, signed by Trump himself, the New York Times reported.
The Sharf acquisition led to an exclusive lunch invitation from Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The meeting, shared with her son Marcus, was described by Sharf as similar to “talking to friends,” according to the outlet.
The sneakers, decorated with patriotic designs and Trump’s signature, are now at Sharf’s Luxury Bazaar location in Southampton, Pennsylvania, which is reportedly a treasure trove of vintage luxury items and rare watches.
However, according to the New York Times, Sharf faced backlash on social media, with some followers threatening to unsubscribe from her feeds due to her support for Trump.

Trump’s footwear collection also includes a low-top model available in white “T-Red” or “POTUS,” each featuring a gold “45” on the side, and priced at $199.
