Legendary Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone Rocky Fame has become the latest in a long line of celebrities to join the mass exodus from the increasingly radically liberal state of California in search of a better life in Florida.
Stallone flees California to take refuge in Florida
Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin, to whom he has been married for 26 years, revealed this in the season 2 premiere of their reality show “The Family Stallone,” according to Fox News.
“After long and careful consideration, your mother and I have decided that it is time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we are going to Florida,” Stallone, 77, told their three daughters Sophia, 27, Sistine, 25, and Scarlatto, 21.
“We will sell this house,” he added. “We already have the place, the deal is done.”
Casey DeSantis, the wife of Republican Florida governor Ron DeSantis, immediately welcomed Stallone to the Sunshine State.
“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” she wrote on social media. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given constitutional right to be free, you can also purchase toothpaste without an armed guard in the CVS unlocking it for you.”
Stallone flees California to move to Florida
In 2021, Stallone purchased a $35.4 million home in Palm Beach that sits on 1.5 lakefront acres and overlooks more than 250 feet of beach with a dock. Since then, Stallone and his wife have split their time between Florida and California, but it seems they are finally ready to cut all ties with the latter liberal state.
Flavin spoke about the move to Florida in December, saying, “It’s an incredible move. I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change.”
“I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone is out, our daughters moved to the East Coast… so there was nothing left for me in California,” she continued. “Some of our best friends have moved away too, so I think that’s the case [a] nice change, just making new friends, living a completely different lifestyle, I love it, I’m really happy.
“I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States, I absolutely love it, but I just needed a change,” she later added. “I felt like I had been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just sit in a house for the rest of my life.”

Scott Baio joins California Exodus
This comes amid a mass exodus from California that has been going on for years as the state has become increasingly radically liberal. Last year, former “Happy Days” star Scott Baio also announced that he was leaving California to move to Florida.
“I see people… When I drive with my daughter, I have to turn her head away. She is 14 years old. I see people defecating on the sidewalk,” Baio complained during a call with the Clay & Buck show. “You see people in parks shooting themselves. There’s people passed out everywhere. I mean that. It’s not the block. It’s everywhere. And I’m almost ready to leave the state. So, you know, just so you guys know, it’s no joke out here.
“I think, probably since Governor Newsom, things have really gotten worse, and maybe a little bit earlier. So, maybe four or five years ago,” he continued. “It’s just… it’s out of control, guys. Listen, I’ve been here 45, almost 50 years. I saw this place transform from an absolute paradise into a cesspool…”
More celebrities flee California
Other celebrities who have fled California recently include devoutly Catholic movie star Mark Wahlberg and conservative former “Superman” star Dean Cain, each of whom has relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Wahlberg told Fox News he made the move to give his four “kids a better life,” while Cain said directly that he left California because the state “went crazy” under Democratic leadership.
“I had to leave California,” Cain said in December. “California has gone crazy in a way. There were so many things. Look at taxation. Look at the rules. Look at the silly laws that have been passed.”
“There were things I didn’t agree with, and I’ve voted here and lived here and worked here my whole life,” he continued. “I finally got to a point where I said to myself, I don’t agree with this.”

Liberals have completely razed the state of California, so it’s no surprise that A-list celebrities like Stallone are fleeing for a better life in Florida. If the liberals who govern California want to keep the rich and famous in their state, they may have to start rethinking some of their most radically left-wing policies.
