ICE agents in Boston arrested a 34-year-old Guatemalan illegal immigrant recently convicted of assault and battery on a child under the age of 14.
The man was released from Gloucester District Court, despite Boston’s ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations) reporting an immigration arrest against him.
He was also convicted of a separate crime of assault and battery and court ordered to register as a sex offender with the Massachusetts state sex offender registry.
However, the Gloucester District Court reportedly ignored the inmate and released him back into the community.
“This individual posed a terrible threat to the residents of Massachusetts,” said ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons. “Convicted sex offenders who are unlawfully present should not be given the opportunity to re-offend. The victim of his crimes deserves better from our justice system.”

During his emotional outburst, Healey particularly noted how children would be affected by illegal aliens taking over a recreation center.
“Young children need to be able to breathe clean air,” he continued. “They must be able to access swimming pools. They need lifeguards there who can teach them to swim and they need activities. I don’t know what we’ll do for a couple, three months.
Gloucester is just over an hour away from the Roxbury neighborhood, but you have to wonder how many other sexual predators of illegal immigrant children are wandering Boston or may even have headed to the rec center.
