Corrupt prosecutor Andrew Weissmann appeared on MSNBC to discuss the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to agree to hear Trump’s immunity argument in the January 6 Special Prosecutor Jack Smith case in Washington, DC.
The high court will hear oral arguments expeditiously the week of April 22 and decide by the end of the term, in June or earlier.
Judge Tanya Chutkan indefinitely postponed the March 4 trial date as Trump’s immunity argument makes its way through the courts.
Jack Smith’s January 6 trial could be postponed until November and Mueller’s “pitbull”, Andrew Weissmann, isn’t taking it well.
“By granting the stay, [SCOTUS] he is essentially saying this [Trump] he’s effectively immune,” Weissmann told MSNBC’s Willie Geist. “…And I think they ultimately gave Trump a victory here, and I think they will give Trump a victory in the Colorado case as well.”
“They gave the victory to Trump. The DC case is now on life support. It’s really hard to understand how this case could get to trial before Election Day,” Weissmann said.
Weissmann falsely claimed that Trump was accused of “illegally holding office.”
In August, Trump was hit with four counts in the January 6 Jack Smith case in Washington: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy to violate rights.

Weissmann and other Trump haters on the left are attacking the Supreme Court for “delaying” Jack Smith’s DC case.
Jack Smith’s cases against Trump were brought years after the so-called “crimes” occurred, because the trials were intended to disrupt Trump’s election bid.
Joe Biden waited too long to name Jack Smith as special counsel, and Judge Tanya Chutkan waited two months before responding to Trump’s immunity argument.
If Trump had truly committed these crimes and the goal had been to bring him to justice, he would have been charged many, many years ago.
It appears that Biden’s plan to convict Trump before the 2024 election is going up in smoke.
