Senate and Senate candidate Adam Schiff (D-CA) said the Supreme Court will further discredit itself if it doesn’t act quickly on Trump’s immunity request.
Schiff was asked about the delay in Trump’s criminal cases on CNN’s State Of The Union, and he said:
There is a possibility that he may evade justice by delaying it.
This is a proven tactic of Trump throughout his career. And I hope that the courts are aware of exactly what he is doing and his incentive to try to prolong this situation, and I hope that they don’t follow that strategy.

In New York, I hope they will look at the facts in terms of what caused the late publication of this discovery. If it had been decided by Trump’s defense team who had not requested it earlier, they would not have had to delay the trial any further.
My biggest concern, though, is that Dana concerns the January 6th case. This is the most serious set of allegations against the president. This is the case brought by the Department of Justice. The Supreme Court moved very quickly when it came to deciding whether Trump could appear on the ballot. The question is: will he also move with great speed in rejecting this false immunity claim?
If not, he will make a deliberate decision to essentially push the process beyond the election. And I think that would be a terrible decision, both in the interests of justice. It would be a terrible decision in depriving American voters of the information they would have learned during that process, but it would further discredit this partisan and reactionary court.

Representative Schiff was right. If the Supreme Court were to delay its decision on Trump’s immunity claim which has been rejected by all previous courts, it would demonstrate the desperate need for Supreme Court reform, because the court is completely corrupt and incapable of functioning as intended by the Constitution .
There is no doubt that the court will rule against Trump, but it cannot do its dirty work by engaging in unnecessary delays.
