Far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) faced a heated confrontation with pro-Palestinian protesters outside a movie theater in New York City on Monday.

Protesters asked her to call Israel’s military campaign in Gaza a “genocide.”

In response, the New York lawmaker expressed her frustration with protesters confronting her in public.

“I need you to understand that this is not okay,” AOC said of the situation in which she and boyfriend Riley Roberts were approached.

“It’s not okay that there’s a genocide going on and you’re not actively against it,” the protester retorted.

A man can be seen holding an iPhone, cheering her on and hoping to catch a moment when she lost her cool. And AOC promptly delivered.

AOC insisted has publicly defined the conflict as “genocide,” which would have been news to the public.

“I already said it was and you will pretend it doesn’t happen again and again. She’s bullshit, man,” she fumed. “And you’re not helping these people, and you’re not helping them, you’re not helping them.”

AOC confronted by protesters who made her feel uncomfortable

This author has consistently expressed his disdain for people who protest legislators, athletes, and artists when they try to enjoy time with their families in public.

It’s a basic level of decency to leave them alone. Now, if they are in the course of their Work in public – for example holding a press conference outside a building – then people have the right.

Approaching AOC outside of a movie theater is sad and pathetic. That said, these I am left-wing protesters (their hatred of Israel gives it away) and Ocasio-Cortez herself have previously urged hecklers to make politicians or public figures as uncomfortable as possible.

“The whole point of protest is to do [people] uncomfortable,” he wrote on X in 2020, an ironic twist.

“Activists embrace this discomfort with the status quo and advocate for concrete policy changes. Popular support often starts small and grows,” she added. “For people who complain that protest calls make others uncomfortable…that’s the point.”

Hecklers like to target Ocasio-Cortez

AOC appears to be a major target for the protesters, perhaps because she has encouraged them to do so in the past and they are simply taking her up on her offer.

In one of the most recent incidents, New Yorkers got the better of the illegal immigration crisis that has taken over the city that never sleeps.

In 2022, it was disrupted on multiple occasions by protesters upset over war funding in Ukraine and pushing the United States closer to a global nuclear confrontation.

In one such case, he mocked the protesters by dancing to their songs.

Ocasio-Cortez previously revealed she is in therapy to learn how to cope with the “extraordinarily traumatizing” Capitol protest in 2021.

His therapist must have done a good job as he dealt with the pro-Hamas hecklers quite effectively. Or maybe it’s simply because those are Democratic voters and she’s not scared of them.
