Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) on Moday announced new MacBook Air models with 13- and 15-inch screens with its own M3 chip.
The 13-inch model starts at $1,099 while the 15-inch model starts at $1,299. Customers can pre-order both models starting today, with availability starting March 8.
Additionally, the new models offer 18 hours of claimed battery life, faster Wi-Fi 6E radios, a 1080p HD camera, and support for up to two external displays.
Apple (AAPL) unveiled its M3 processor series in October last year and launched the M2 MacBook Air in 2022.
Bloomberg previously reported that the Cupertino, California-based company was looking to unveil updated versions of the iPad and MacBook Air amid slumping sales for two of its product segments.
Mac revenue for the quarter ending in December grew a paltry 0.6% year-over-year to $7.78 billion. iPad revenue fell 25% to $7.02 billion.
The launch of Apple’s (AAPL) new laptops coincides with the European Union fining Apple (AAPL) €1.8 billion for “abusive” App Store rules against music streamers.
