When you get too comfortable in a job, it’s time for a change, says Josh Krichefski, GroupM CEO for EMEA and UK. Here because.
The Greek philosopher Heraclitus said that change is the only constant, but how could you apply this to your career? Josh Krichefski, GroupM CEO for EMEA and UK, has a suggestion.
“I think it’s important to be curious about change,” Krichefski told CNBC’s My Biggest Lessons.
“I firmly believe that when we stick to the status quo, we stagnate, and when we are curious, we progress.”
Stepping out of your comfort zone when things are going well might seem counterintuitive, but Krichefski explains why it’s better.
“I always changed jobs when things were good, not when they were bad,” he said.
This allows him to come out of “a position of strength, curiosity and clarity, rather than desperation”.
Krichefski believes this applies to business decisions and innovation within a company.
