Biden criticizes Trump for promising tax cuts to billionaires

Trump promised low taxes on billionaires during his closed-door fundraiser, and Biden’s campaign unloaded on the former president.

Trump reportedly promised his wealthy donors that he would keep their taxes low if he returned to the White House.

Biden campaign spokeswoman Sarafina Chitika responded: “Donald Trump has spent his entire presidency lining the pockets of wealthy tax evaders like himself at the expense of the middle class. Now, Trump is making it clear to his billionaire friends that he will seize the first opportunity to double tax cuts for the ultra-rich, all while he fights to strip Americans of Medicare and gut Social Security. and Medicare, and increase costs for working families. The American people deserve a president who fights for Main Street, not Wall Street — that’s why we must reelect President Biden and reject Trump’s billionaire agenda this November.”

Trump’s agenda is not America First. First of all, he’s a billionaire. Just as President Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders said during their White House event, Trump says one thing in public, but promises something completely different to billionaires behind closed doors.

President Biden has proven that trickle-down economics doesn’t work.

Biden has demonstrated what America can do when an economy is built from the center out rather than from the top down. Trump is supported by billionaires because they want to cut taxes for themselves and raise taxes for everyone else.
