President Biden is out with a new video decoding Trump and showing the former president rooting against America.
The video begins with Trump saying at his recent Fox News town hall: Why were you against the House against the Senate border deal, the bipartisan border deal? They allow 5,000 people a week, but many people were accepting 5,000 a day. It made things a lot better for the opposing side.
Biden watched Trump’s video and responded: “You know, he just admitted it. He sabotaged our bipartisan agreement, a bipartisan agreement, to secure the border because it made things so much better for the other side. Do you know who the opposing party is? In this case, it’s America. Donald Trump stands against America. Whenever he gets the chance. He is only here for himself.

The video is brutal because it gets right to the heart of what Trump is doing. Trump’s entire campaign has been rooted in the hope that Biden and the nation will fail, so he can revive his self-created false mythology and rush to the rescue. One of the contrasts that is already structurally president in the 2024 presidential campaign is that the Biden campaign is very active in defining Trump with ads and videos.
Meanwhile, Trump’s cash problems meant there was no mass effort to attract voters. Instead, Trump spent the primary campaign in court and tried to convince Nikki Haley to retire.
Biden’s campaign delivers the message that will define Trump and the election.
The question for voters is: are you for or against America?
Biden’s success in communicating this choice could determine the outcome of the presidential election.
