What Biden said about the special counsel’s report and Trump
Biden said:
I was particularly pleased to see the special prosecutor clarify the stark differences between this case and Donald Trump’s. As the special counsel wrote, and I quote, several material distinctions are clear between Trump’s case and Biden’s. By the way, this is a Republican board. Notably, after having multiple chances, this is the continuation of the subpoena: He turned over classified documents and avoided prosecution here, while Trump would do the opposite.
This is a continuous citation, according to the prosecution, he was not only refused to return documents for many months, but also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and lie about it. Instead, Biden turned over classified documents to the National Archives, and the Justice Department considered a search of multiple locations, including his homes, and arranged for a voluntary interview and, in other words, cooperated with the investigation. This is the distinction, among others. The bottom line is that in my case the special prosecutor decided not to proceed with any charges. This matter is now closed.

Biden turns Hur report into an advantage
The Hur report confirms that Biden committed no crime, but the Trump-appointed special prosecutor used his report to offer an opinionated characterization of President Biden’s memory that had nothing to do with the classified documents case.
The President has used the report to his advantage, even if the White House is not satisfied with the subjective characterizations because it gives the President the opportunity to discuss Trump’s alleged crimes.
Biden will have many chances to demonstrate that his memory is good, but a conviction will be enough for Trump to be finished.
