Glynn Simmons spent 48 years in an Oklahoma prison for the murder of a liquor store clerk killed during a robbery. But a judge ordered him released last year and, in a separate proceeding, declared him “effectively innocent.” His lawyers said investigators withheld a report saying an eyewitness had not identified him as the shooter in a confrontation. That woman, who was shot in the head during the robbery, has identified at least five other men in separate trials. Simmons has now filed a federal lawsuit against the investigators and the departments they worked for.
