OTTAWA (Reuters) – The Canadian government will provide C$99 million ($73.1 million) to a housing subsidy plan for low-income workers who need help paying rent, the Canadian government said on Tuesday. Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.
Freeland, speaking to reporters in Ottawa, also announced C$100 million in emergency winter funding to provide more shelter spaces for people experiencing homelessness.
