Cameron Bure thinks artificial intelligence is ‘scary’
As chief content officer of Great American Family, Cameron Bure said he has “no intention” of using artificial intelligence in the films he makes.
“I’ll keep an eye on him for sure,” Cameron Bure, 47, told Fox News. “I think it’s something that scares me a little bit… the fact of the matter.”
“However, we use wonderful writers to write our films and I have no intention of using or touching artificial intelligence when it comes to making films and writing screenplays,” he added.

Other Hollywood figures who don’t use AI
Cameron Bure isn’t the only powerful Hollywood actor who opposes working with artificial intelligence. Nicole Brown, president of TriStar Pictures, recently said that he prefers to work “with humans.”
“I mean, movies are about someone’s experience, someone’s perspective, someone’s vision,” he said. “So even though there was a lot of discussion about artificial intelligence during the strikes, as a person who creates content, I want to work with humans.”
Sam Register, president of Warner Bros Animation and Cartoon Network Studios, also recently argued that artificial intelligence is “no better” at animation than human artists are.
“As an animation studio, I just think it’s important to protect the artists and the art form for as long as possible,” Register said. “Because I think we should give jobs to people who actually do it, so they can get their entry-level experience.
“Animation is a visual medium,” he continued. “But, so far, I haven’t seen anything that AI can do visually that an artist doesn’t currently do better.”
Actress Justine Bateman, of “Family Ties” fame, has fought hard against the use of artificial intelligence in Hollywood.
“I think artificial intelligence has no place in Hollywood. For me, technology should solve the problems of human beings,” she said recently. “Using ChatGPT or any… software that uses artificial intelligence to write screenplays, using it instead of a writer doesn’t solve a problem. We have no shortage of writers. We don’t lack actors. There is no shortage of directors. There is no shortage of talented people.”

Artificial Intelligence and the Hollywood Strike of 2023
The use of artificial intelligence in Hollywood played a major role in the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strike last year. The new Writers Guild of America contract states that AI-generated raw plots will not be considered “literary material,” as in screenplays or plots produced by a screenwriter. This essentially means that human screenwriters will not be competing with artificial intelligence in the industry.
Business Insider reported that the new SAG-AFTRA contract states that “those seeking to reproduce actors’ likenesses with artificial intelligence must now first obtain their consent, and stars must be paid for the number of days they would have worked to act out any scene with their actors. digital replicas.”
However, some actors are still concerned about how “vague” the consent exemptions are. For example, employers are not required to obtain consent to adapt certain parts of the performance such as “lips and/or other facial or body movements and/or the performer’s voice into a foreign language.”
