Ted Miller, co-founder of Crown Castle (CCI) in 1994 and CEO from 1996 to 2001, recently ran for office with three others, including his son-in-law, second to WSJ report late Wednesday, which cited people familiar with the matter.
The deadline to nominate Crown Castle directors for the society’s annual meeting in the spring is Saturday.
The news comes as activist investor Elliott Investor Management took a more than $2 billion stake in Crown Castle (CCI) in November and pushed for board changes and other moves.
With that, the company moved quickly to reevaluate the fiber business, including the exit of its CEO, formed a committee to conduct a strategic review of the fiber business, and appointed new board members.
