Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee turned Jim Jordan’s hearing on Robert Hur into a platform to expose Donald Trump.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), a former prosecutor, asked why Hur made his comments about Biden’s memory in the report:

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) asked Hur if he would accept a job from Donald Trump if Trump returned to the White House:

Then Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) arrived and addressed the hearing by asking Hur a series of yes-or-no questions:
Lieu asked Hur, “Did you find out that President Biden directed his lawyer to lie to the FBI?” We have identified no such evidence. Did you find out that President Biden ordered his lawyer to destroy classified documents?
Of course.”
Lieu continued: “Did you find out that President Biden ordered his personal assistant to move boxes of documents to hide them from the FBI?”
Of course.”
Lieu asked, “Did you find out that President Biden ordered his personal assistant to delete security camera footage after the FBI requested that footage?”
Of course”
Lieu asked, “Did you discover that President Biden showed a classified map related to an ongoing military operation to a campaign aide who did not have authorization?”
Hur replied, “No.”
Lieu continued: “Did you find that President Biden was involved in a conspiracy to obstruct justice?”
Of course.”
Ted Lieu’s last question was, “Did you discover that President Biden was engaged in a plan to hide classified documents?”
Of course”
Lieu continued: “Each of the activities I just laid out describes what Donald Trump has done in his miserable handling of classified information and his criminal efforts to deceive the FBI. To the contrary, President Biden handed over the documents without delay and fully obeyed the investigators.”
The real purpose of this hearing was to lay the groundwork for an attempt to impeach President Biden over his handling of classified documents, but Republicans have shown they have nothing to stand on. The hearing was all over the Republican side, while Democrats used this national platform to make the case that Trump has committed crimes, is in cognitive decline and is unfit to hold office.
Jim Jordan and James Comer gave Democrats a national platform to make the case for why Trump should never return to the White House, and it was a disaster for the former president and his party.
