The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments at 10 a.m. Eastern Thursday in President Donald Trump’s appeal of the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling barring the Republican candidate from appearing on the state’s ballot based on the opinion of the its role in the January 6 elections, 2021 protests.
Colorado’s far-left Supreme Court says, without evidence, that President Trump cannot run for president again because he has violated a provision of the 14th Amendment that bars those “engaged in insurrection” from holding office. Trump has never been charged or convicted of insurrection. This media talking point was nothing more than fake news from the beginning.
President Trump held a press conference this morning to discuss the case. But before talking about Colorado’s unconstitutional move to remove him from the 2024 ballot, he lectured for several minutes on Joe Biden’s failed foreign policy!
Ah! The MSNBC audience was obviously not happy.
President Donald Trump: Iran was broke when I left. They had no money to give to Hamas. They had no money to give to Hezbollah, and now… now they have over 200 billion. As you probably know, people don’t like to admit it. They definitely control Iraq. And Iraq has another 300 billion. So they have a very rich group of countries. And as you know, Iraq should never have happened. It was a balance against Iran, and we blew the balance. And now Iran essentially has Iraq. And Iraq doesn’t like to say it, but it’s true and it’s a shame.
The world is in tremendous danger. We perhaps risk a third world war. And we have a man who is absolutely the worst president in the history of our country, he can’t string two sentences together. He won’t be able to negotiate with Putin, Xi or Kim Jong Un, with North Korea, he won’t be able to negotiate with anyone. All he knows how to do is drop bombs everywhere, meaningless bombs, except that they kill a lot of people, and cost a lot of money. Every time you see a bomb, it’s worth another million dollars, and it actually sets us back. We had peace through strength. This shouldn’t happen. The Middle East is exploding. It is exploding and many people are being killed. And it’s so useless.
So I’ll just say that watching the Supreme Court today, I thought it was a very beautiful trial. I hope that democracy in this country continues, because right now we have a very, very difficult situation with all the ideas of the radical left, with the weapon of politics. They arm it as if it had never been armed before. It’s totally illegal, but they do it anyway and it has to stop.
