The consumer price index in Spain increased by 0.8% in March compared to the previous month. Retail sales in Spain increased by 0.5% in February compared to the previous month.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index (STOXX) remained stable on Wednesday during trading +0.04%, while investors evaluated Spanish inflation data and French consumer confidence data. Markets are also awaiting Friday’s expected U.S. personal consumption expenditures report from the Commerce Department with interest. Retail stocks rallied in early trade, while travel stocks traded in the red.

In the bond market, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury bond (US10Y) remained unchanged at 4.23%.
The German 10-year yield fell 2 basis points to 2.33%.
The UK 10-year yield fell less than 1 basis point to 3.96%.
