The Exxon Mobil led (NYSE:XOM) in Guyana is pumping 645,000 bbl/day into the country, up from about 400,000 bbl/day at the end of 2023, the company said Tuesday.
Exxon (XOM) said all three currently operating platforms are producing above initial estimates ability, with Lisa’s fate, Lisa Unity AND Prosperity they now pump 160,000 bbl/day, 250,000 bbl/day and 230,000 bbl/day respectively.
The consortium, which includes Hess (HES) and China’s Cnooc, announced its fourth, fifth and sixth oil projects: Yellow tail, Uaru AND Whistail – would have a production capacity of ~250,000 bbl/d each, bringing Guyana’s total oil production to over 1.2 million bbl/d in 2027.
The consortium said it could develop up to 10 projects off Guyana and has proposed budgets of about $40 billion for six projects so far, of which $29 billion has been spent, Exxon (XOM) said.
