The contrast was on full display Thursday. Three former presidents and the current one were in New York on Thursday.
One was there to attend the funeral of New York police officer Jonathan Diller. The officer was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty on March 25 while conducting a traffic stop in Queens.
Diller was savagely murdered by a career criminal during a routine interaction. In a city run by Democrats. A city that prioritizes illegal aliens and career criminals over its citizens.
A city where law enforcement officers have been mistreated by inept Democratic politicians. Where disastrous policies allowed a criminal with 21 arrest records to remain on the streets.
Trump took the time to attend that man’s wake.

Meanwhile, here’s what Biden was doing in New York
While Trump was in New York to pay his respects to a police officer killed because of lax laws for criminals in a deeply blue city, President Biden was elsewhere in the same city.
However, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that even though Biden was unable to be present at the wake, she assured all of us that the president expressed his condolences.
To Mayor Eric Adams.

We’re sure the grieving Adams was touched by the gesture.
So what was more important than Agent Diller’s wake? What turned President Biden away from the opportunity to console a grieving family?
Why, an opportunity to rub shoulders with Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and… Lizzo. YES That Lizzo, famous for “‘B**** I just twerked and played James Madison’s flute.”

“Such a sad, sad event. Such a horrible thing. And it’s happening too often and we won’t let it happen,” Trump said outside the wake. “We need law and order.”
By contrast, Democratic fundraising saw tickets cost between $225 and half a million dollars. For an additional $100,000, guests could get a photo with Biden, Obama and Clinton.

Really bad optics
How bad was it for Trump and Biden to be in New York, and only one of them was acting like a president?
Alyssa Farah Griffin, a Never Trumper and token Republican co-host of The sighthe even gave credit to Trump.
“Donald Trump, the great spinner, will say, ‘You, the New York elites with the celebrities are raising this money from dollar donors, while I’m in New York to honor a fallen officer of the New York Police Department, who was killed by someone who had been arrested 21 times before,’” Griffin said.
“For the average American, the curious Trump voter, this is what they want to see from him,” he added. “I have to say Donald Trump is getting smarter.”
Or does he really care about crime, while Democrats have proven time and time again that this isn’t the case. Especially in New York.
Obama’s former chief strategist David Axelrod indicates Biden made the right move. Because money is more important in the grand scheme of things.
The priorities are clear. Biden and the Democrats have no one taller than them.
Trump, meanwhile, supports law enforcement and makes law and order a priority. His record proves it.
