It was widely reported that chants of “death to America” were heard at a recent event in Michigan. It’s the kind of thing we’re used to hearing from Iran, but not in our country.
During The five on FOX News this week, Greg Gutfeld talked about this issue and where he sees it going. He believes the problem will get worse as left-wing cities become mini-Gazas across the country.
He also asks us why we put up with him.
Transcript via Real Clear Politics:
I have the impression that with the material of “Death To America” we are slowly moving towards our own little Gaza. These little islands of unrest in the country. These were places that were sacrificed to the left. Sinisterism, where laws were discarded. Identity and division became the currency. Look at Minneapolis since George Floyd. It has never been the same. It’s all these enclaves.
We were supposed to be a melting pot. But that requires dissolution. And instead what we are witnessing is a tightening. It’s a hardening. And we are always accused of xenophobia if we exalt the beauties of our country or make fun of the customs of another country. Fair enough. I understand. But it’s a two-way street. If you come here and reject assimilation, freedom of speech, cooperation with people different from you.
These are our values and if you reject them you are xenophobic, you are anti-American. It’s not illegal, I guess. But why do we respect it and why do we encourage it? The left encourages this type of behavior. It’s time for adults to get into the room and fundamentally change the conversation, or these cities will disappear.

Americans are a very tolerant people, but everyone is losing patience with the radical left.
