Oscar-winning star Jon Voight, long one of Hollywood’s few openly conservative Christians, recently released a video in which he compared former President Donald Trump to Jesus Christ. Trump has since shared the video on his Truth Social platform.
Vocal sounds muted
“There is too much hate. We must never allow it to take precedence over the truth,” began Voight, 85. “He, Trump, is being targeted for information from him that can bring down the corrupt swamp. Trump is the only man who can destroy the negative propaganda sworn into this office.”
“Can he be saved together with the American people who believe in the glory of God? Can we save our nation from the dark cloud that has been placed over our life’s dreams?” He continued. “YES. Because Joshua promised the land of hospitality and his sword of righteousness. Fought the battles left and right. The battles between right and wrong.
The voice makes Jesus appear
That’s when Voight brought out Jesus Christ.
“And Jesus said that man can rise above the darkness, that he can be saved with this understanding, this truth,” he said. “Believe. And he will finalize the Holy Spirit. The light of God’s happiness for all to be resurrected. And this truth can open the way for the gifts to be realized.”
“Believe. That the man who can help this nation, the one man who has been ridiculed and destroyed like Jesus, Trump, can come back and save the American dream for all. And make America great with dignity and power of what is,” Voight concluded. “The land of the free. The land of God. The glory of God. The united states. Much love to you.

Voight has long been one of the few Hollywood stars to publicly support Trump. In 2022, Voight had said that Trump is “the only” person who can save our country.
“My fellow Americans, we are in danger of a third world war. We, as a family of one truth, must hear it now. Look at this lie, this deception that continues day after day,” Voight said, according to the Daily Mail. “It’s supposed to be the land of the free, but it’s anything but. It’s a dark web. A dark world, but not for long because, my friends, a change is coming and a new light will emerge. We must all see this truth and allow justice to take place now.”
“We pray that the only president who understood the truth and had the best interest of the American people, the American dream, President Donald Trump, will return to the presidency,” he later added. “He and only he can stop this swamp. Allow President Trump to rebuild our soil and our land so that we can achieve our glory.”
The Independent reported that Voight said in 2017 that “if God could reverse all the negative lies against Trump, whose only desire was to make America great again.” Two years later, he claimed that Trump was the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”
