Israel holds hybrid cyber and military readiness exercises

Adding fuel to speculation that Israel may launch strategic cyber attacks against Iran in response to the April 14 drone and missile airstrike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) held simulated cyber warfare and combat exercises.

Forces from Israel’s Northern Command conducted exercises with the nation’s cyber and technology units to test the combination of cyber and kinetic warfare in preparation for the nation’s response to the Iranian attack. according to the Jerusalem Post.

Earlier this week, Israeli citizens received threatening text messages allegedly by an Iranian-backed hacking team warning that they had hijacked the nation’s radar systems, stating: “You only have a few hours to fix the systems.”
