“I don’t think that even if he could raise the money to build the whole thing, he would have just wanted the golf course,” he said.
“He was willing to fight the environmental battle and create the impression that this was a $1 billion project and that Scotland badly needed it. But I think he never really had the money or the intention to finish it.
He added: “I feel very deceived and ashamed of falling for it and of Scotland. We all fell for it. He would never have done it.
Trump is a fraud and the fraud starts from the beginning of these projects. Trump overinflates what he will invest in a project, which leads to overinflation of the project’s value, which Trump uses to borrow more money, but then cries out in poverty when it comes time to pay taxes.

Trump was found to have fraudulently increased the value of his Scottish golf course by two hundred million pounds by including properties that did not exist in the valuation.
Some in Scotland have been trying for years to have Trump investigated for money laundering and fraud linked to the Scottish golf course.
Trump’s fraud trial took place in New York but the former president’s alleged crimes are international.
