Jimmy Kimmel vs. Donald Trump: Talk Show Host Continues War of Words: ‘I Love That This Bothered Him So Much’ – Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS)

Former president Donald Trump he is preparing to fight the president Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

Trump is also battling several other critics, including a late-night talk show host.

What happened: talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has been critical of Trump in the past and has used his show, which airs Walt Disney Co DISowned by ABC to mock the former president.

While hosting the 96th Academy Awards on ABC, Kimmel took a shot at Trump, reading a post from the former president Social Truth account. Kimmel later said that he was told not to read the post on stage.

As the battle between the talk show host and 2024 presidential salary hopefuls continues, Kimmel shared his feedback during a recent episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Donald Trump has said I’m not talented so many times that Eric is starting to get jealous,” Kimmel said.

The comments came after Trump addressed Kimmel during a Fox News interview, calling him a “terrible host” and “a talentless guy,” according to Variety.

Kimmel said he wasn’t surprised that Trump kept talking about the Academy Awards and the talk show host.

“But what he doesn’t understand is that I like all of this. I like that this bothered him so much, I like that Fox chose a reporter no one knows to interview him, and I especially like when he tries to distort the fact that everyone was laughing about him in a positive way.”

Because it is important: Kimmel said his comment about Trump posting on Truth Social and seeing the Academy Awards overcome his time in prison went viral and turned into a slogan on merchandise.

“Imagine him telling someone he should have kept his mouth shut. It should be written on his tombstone: ‘He should have kept his mouth shut,'” Kimmel said.

Kimmel has also been engaged in a war with the NFL star Aaron Rodgers, which has led to threats of legal action and could put Disney in a tough spot. Disney owns ABC and also owns ESPN, where Rodgers is a regular guest on a show and has been openly critical of Kimmel.

Trump has been critical of several media outlets, and as he seeks to give interviews and town halls in the future, he may give ABC or other Disney-owned properties the cold shoulder.
