During Tuesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the podcast host called Israel’s military actions in Gaza a “genocide.”
Rogan made his remarks during an interview with his guest, comedian Kurt Metzger, during which the two had a lengthy discussion about the war between Israel and Hamas.

Joe Rogan to Israel: “Genocide is fine as long as we do it”
Rogan focused on a recent video shared by whistleblower Edward Snowden and what people can say.
Mediaite reports: “While discussing Candace Owens’ recent split from the Daily Wire amid allegations of anti-Semitism and a feud between Owens and Ben Shapiro, Rogan turned his attention to a leaked video showing an Israeli drone killing four men in Gaza, shared by Edward Snowden on X, formerly Twitter.”
“They always say that they only target Hamas, and that everyone else is a victim,” said Joe Rogan of the Israeli government. “Well, if those guys are just unarmed civilians and walking alone – that’s what they look like – and you blow them out of the sky with robots…”
The story continued:
Rogan continued: “If you can’t talk about it, if you can’t say it’s real, then you’re saying genocide is fine as long as we do it. And you say that from the perspective of someone who literally lived through the Holocaust or your people, your tribe. You went through the Holocaust and now you’re willing to do it?”
“I hope the irony isn’t lost on you!” – added Metzger.
“This is so crazy,” Rogan said, adding, “Are you guys willing to do what was done to you to lead you to believe that you needed to start your own country?”

Estimates of 30,000 killed in Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said military action would continue in Gaza until there were no more Hamas members. The Israeli attacks began after the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas, which killed more than 1,200 people and took many hostages.
Gaza’s health ministry said it estimates more than 30,000 people have been killed by Israel’s actions in the area. Their reports should be taken with a grain of salt.
