Karlie Kloss, founder of Kode with Klossy and 40-time Vogue cover model, and husband Joshua Kushner, managing partner of venture capital firm Thrive Global, are joining forces to relaunch Life magazine some 16 years after its last paper edition.
Kloss is CEO of Bedford Media, a new media holding company that will handle new media operations Life magazineincluding revenue and editorial strategy, according to a press release issued Thursday.

Kushner will take on the role of editor of the new Life magazine.

The magazine will return in both print and digital formats, with a representative for Bedford Media telling the Los Angeles Times that the publication will “most likely” relaunch as a quarterly, expected in early 2025.
Acquisition of Bedford Media Magazine ID in November; that publication is expected to begin publishing print issues this fall.

Life launched in 1883 and gained recognition over the years for his photographs, including Alfred Eisenstaed’s photo of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square.
Life it has closed and reopened several times since its founding, with the last print issue published in 2008.
